Services

Foot and lower limb care, tailored to you.

Whether you're dealing with foot or leg pain, nail conditions, or need expert advice on footwear, we're here to help.

Our podiatrist will conduct an initial assessment, then consult with you on appropriate treatment options, and help you decide on a treatment plan that aligns with your goals.

Shockwave Therapy

Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive, evidence-based treatment that accelerates healing and reduces pain. High-energy sound waves are delivered to the affected area, promoting recovery. Shockwave provides the following benefits:

  • Relieves pain

  • Promotes faster healing

  • Enhances blood circulation

  • Breaks down calcium deposits in chronically inflamed tissues

  • Releases tight muscles

Foot & Leg Pain

If you're experiencing foot, knee, or leg pain, a biomechanical assessment is necessary to determine the cause. This involves:

  • Assessing the alignment and function of your hips, knees, ankles, and feet.

  • Targeted tests to evaluate pain levels and mobility.

  • Assessing your footwear to ensure proper fit, support, and function.

  • Conducting gait analysis (watching how you walk).

Your treatment plan is tailored to your goals and may include custom orthotics, exercise rehabilitation, shockwave therapy, dry needling, or footwear recommendations.

Custom Foot Orthotics are a custom designed insole that help re-distribute pressure away from areas of pain, so you can still be active while the area heals. Like prescription glasses, orthotics are prescribed to the way your lower limb functions, except you may not have to wear orthotics forever.

They also help to support your feet, correct alignment, and reduce pain. Whether you have flat feet, high arches, or ongoing foot discomfort, custom orthotics can provide pain relief and improve your walking pattern.

Our podiatrist will conduct a biomechanical assessment to determine your requirements for your prescription.

Orthotics can take 1-2 weeks to manufacture. Once we receive the device back, the podiatrist will fit them to your shoes and watch you walk with your new orthotics.

Since orthotics are used to re-distribute pressure, it is important to note that there may be muscular soreness in the first month of use as your body adapts to this new load. Not to worry though, this should reduce with time.

Custom Foot Orthotics

Ingrown toenails can be painful and lead to infection if left untreated. While some people have a natural tendency to develop ingrown nails due to the shape of their toenails or genetics, other cases are caused by improper nail trimming, tight footwear, or injury. If you experience recurring ingrown toenails, minor nail surgery may provide long-term relief.

We offer both conservative trimming and clearing, and minor surgical procedures, such as partial nail avulsion (PNA), where a small section of the nail is removed under local anaesthetic, and a chemical called phenol is applied at the nail plate to prevent the problem from coming back. This procedure has a 97% success rate.

Diabetic Foot Assessment

(Neurological & Vascular Checks)

People with diabetes are at higher risk of foot complications, so regular foot checks are essential. Our diabetic foot assessment includes:

  • Neurological testing (checking nerve function to prevent numbness and ulcers)

  • Vascular testing (checking blood circulation to avoid slow healing and infections)

  • Musculoskeletal testing including muscle and joint assessment, observation of foot deformity or high-pressure areas

  • Walking assessment

Early detection can prevent serious complications like foot ulcers, infection and amputations.

Skin and nail care appointments with our skilled podiatrists provide immediate relief for many common conditions through expert, hands-on treatment. Most patients leave feeling significantly better and lighter on their feet than when they arrived.

Common conditions we treat are:

  • Corns

  • Calluses

  • Thickened or fungal nails

  • Ingrown nails

  • Cracked heels

Some people seek care for specific issues like corns or ingrown nails, while others may struggle to properly reach and care for their feet, benefiting from regular maintenance.

If you are at higher risk for foot complications due to conditions like diabetes, consistent foot care is essential to reduce the risk of serious issues, such as foot ulcers. Regular appointments help ensure that your feet stay healthy and risks are reduced.
